We have an excellent opportunity for a Lead Systems Engineer (direct hire opportunity). This individual will be a part of a team that develops messaging, communications, and collaboration solutions in support of business requirements. Solutions include Exchange, Office Communicator, Blackberry Enterprise, and SharePoint. The Lead Systems Engineer works with leaders throughout the organization to understand business requirements then is responsible for designing, developing, testing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting complex components that meet those needs. This position evaluates and integrates strategic software and hardware requests. The Lead Systems Engineer also provides issue and problem resolution for complex issues and performs disaster recovery exercises. This position provides instruction and guidance to less senior team members on new tasks and assignments. The Lead Systems Engineer may provide direction and manage team in supervisor’s absence and participates in providing performance feedback to team members.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- 3+ years experience in all phases of the development lifecycle, including use of formal requirement documentation and procedures, formal testing methodologies, implementation strategies, and monitoring techniques
- Significant current experience with at least two of the following products: SharePoint, Exchange, Office Communicator (Lync)
- Significant current experience with enterprise class Windows OS environments including Server 2008, Server 2003, XP, and Windows 7
- Strong understanding of Windows security environments and tools including familiarity with NIST, DISA, and PCI standards
- Demonstrated experience in problem solving, including analyzing symptoms and causes, identifying and defining the problem to be solved, collecting data, establishing the facts, drawing valid conclusions and developing solutions
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with peers, vendors, management, and other departments within IT
- Demonstrated customer service support ethic and focus to deliver the highest, most consistent level of customer service to our customers
- Must possess extreme detail oriented skills combined with strong problem solving and time management
- Must have proven experience in working and communicating effectively in cross-functional teams
- Must be able to prioritize projects and develop solutions while adhering to the overall Information Technology standards
- Must have the ability to interpret business requirements into technical specifications
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
