We have an opening for a SQL DBA to join our team!  He or she will be responsible for database installation, configuration, patching, monitoring, maintenance and version upgrades. Interested candidates must have significant experience in the IT field as well as 2-3+ years of experience as a SQL DBA.  Excellent communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills are required!

Responsibilities / Experience also includes:

• Clustering, SSIS, data transfers, replication, and TSQL
• Administers security and disaster recovery of databases, including back-up, recovery, security audits, database health checks and disaster recovery testing and planning
• Capacity plans, checks disk space and performs resource utilization analyses
• Designs, implements, and maintains complex databases with respect to system integration, access methods, performance, device allocation, validation checks, protection and security, documentation and database models
• Overall monitoring and enforcement of standards and development of best practices and procedures
• Work closely with management, developers, project managers, technical staff and end users to ensure the successful project implementation and deliverables

Requirements:

• 2-3+ years of experience as a SQL DBA using SQL Server 2005 and up supporting large scale production systems and providing technical expertise
• Bachelor’s degree and 10 + years in technology related field
• Experience with SQL database management, administration, and maintenance
• Experience with TSQL programming, back-up and recovery
• Performance tuning experience, including enabling and interpreting SQL profiler
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and team environments
• Ability to analyze complex situations, negotiate and position solutions towards strategic plans
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent execution skills
